Rwanda is a landlocked East African country with a green, mountainous landscape. Its renowned Volcanoes National Park is home to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys. The park encompasses 4,507m-tall Mt. Karisimbi and 4 other forested volcanoes. In the southwest is Nyungwe National Park, with ancient montane rain forest that's a habitat for chimpanzees and other primates.

- Akagera Game National Park
This is the Rwanda best game wildlife viewing destination and you can find the African wildlife species like the lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes among others and for honey moon travelers to Rwanda do not miss visiting this park as it offers the boat launch along the Lake Ihema. - Gishwati Forest Reserve
Gishwati Forest is a protected reserve in the north-western part of Rwanda, not far from Lake Kivu. Activities to experience in this reserve include the nature walks, birding tours, research of the reptiles and butterflies and this forest is so much visit by the ecotourists.
- Buhanga Eco Park
Buhanga Eco Forest is a true hidden gem and is small forest which is ecological importance and astonishing beauty. The forest offers birds and colourful butterflies. The forest trails leads to various observation platforms and enables visitors to easily discover what the forest has to offer. The patches of open and closed forest provide excellent opportunities for watching the usually secretive birds and enjoying the almost magical atmosphere.
- Musanze Cave
A cave is a natural underground space large enough for a human to enter. While visiting Volcanoes national park, have the chance to tour the Musanze Caves which is 2 kilometers long underneath that were recently unveiled to be visited by tourist in 2013 by the Rwanda Development Board.
